A second nesting attempt in the same spot produced three cygnets but one was
caught in the concentrated flow
that feeds the mill,
and washed over the sluice gate early on. The pair
and two remaining cygnets have apparently
spent a lot of time up river since
then and have often not been visible as the river runs through private land.
Below photographes taken 20th April 2007.
