Some new images of Swallows
in the nest uploaded today, hirundines seem to be in the nest much
later this year, perhaps due to the bad weather earlier in the breeding
season.

Red Backed Shrike on Hayling Island and a Spotted
Crake at Farlington Marshes on the Hampshire coast.

A new batch of Common

have been quite docile in the cool weather this year and easily approached

With a feeding Station
in a local woodland set up and pulling in several species I have been
concentrating on Great Spotted Woodpeckers
over the last week, some of the results are on the species page here.

I have been very busy recently with my
new macro lens and have added many new images to the Minibeasts
(click the link) page, these include an image of a Wasp spider wrapping
a grasshopper in silk, as well as other wasp spider images, Poplar Hawkmoth
among other moths, several new Butterfly images and a few shots of Grasshoppers
and Crickets which I know almost nothing about so please do correct
me if I have misidentified anything on the site.
